Zero Net Energy Homes Class Series NOW!

PG&E is offering once again a series of six FREE full-day classes on zero net energy homes, which a stellar cast of instructors and I developed for them a couple of years ago. We’ve been doing this road show ever since, to consistently high reviews. Scheduled this week and next at the Energy Training Center in Stockton, CA, the series comprises:

  • Dec. 4 (you’ve missed): Design Fundamentals – Ann Edminster & Nancy Malone, Siegel & Strain Architects
  • Dec. 5 (today): Enclosures & Assemblies – Rick Chitwood, Chitwood Energy Management, and Steve Easley, Steven Easley & Associates
  • Dec. 6 (tomorrow): Mechanical Systems – Rick Chitwood & Bill Dakin, Davis Energy Group
  • Dec. 11: Integrated Processes & Energy Modeling – Ann Edminster & Nehemiah Stone, Benningfield Group
  • Dec. 12: People & Plug Loads – Ann Edminster & Chris Calwell, Ecova
  • Dec. 13: Renewable Energy – Ann Edminster & Gary Gerber, Sun Light & Power

    The new ZNE Homes class sounds great! I won’t be able to do this one.
    Any plans for early next year so I can schedule ahead? Also, is it also good for people who already have some familiarity with green building?

      Yes, we’re doing a new series on retrofitting existing homes to target deep energy reductions/zero net energy. The classes are being offered this spring by PG&E, SMUD, and San Diego Gas & Electric. I believe they should all have their class calendars posted by now. I hope to see you at one of the classes!
