I’m sure many of you are planning to attend Greenbuild (San Francisco November 12-16) and, like me, you’ve been contemplating all the possible ways to spend your time there. Here are a handful of my top picks:

G14 – Retrofitting for Success – featuring seasoned residential green building pro Alistair Jackson, principal of O’Brien & Co.

G05 – Product Benchmarking – featuring Julie Rapoport, Engineering VP for Calstar Products

B12 – Experiences on the Journey to a Zero Net Energy Community – featuring Bill Dakin, senior engineer with Davis Energy Group and one of my co-instructors in PG&E’s and Southern California Edison’s ZNE Homes class series.

C12 – The Integrative Design Process and LEED – featuring the ever-popular Bill Reed and John Boecker.

H14 – Measured Performance of 10 Deep Energy Retrofit Homes – featuring LBNL’s dynamic duo, Iain Walker and Brennan Less (true confessions: 2 of my projects are included in this batch!)

HD7 (Tour) – Tah.Mah.Lah on the Peninsula – the uber-green home of Paul Holland & Linda Yates; the design team included HKS/Hill Glazier Architects, Klope & Associates Landscape Architects, and BAMO Interior Design, along with green building notables Peter Rumsey and David Kaneda, Integral Group; Bruce King, PE; Bill Reed, Regenesis Group; Peter Yost, Building Green, Inc.; and Ann Edminster, Design AVEnues LLC, among others.

Also come by Booth T-34 (North Building) to chat with Kathleen O’Brien about The Emerge Leadership Project. I’m looking forward to serving as a faculty member for Emerge in December and in 2013.
